Ms. Wanda Yvette Smith was born April 18th, 1970 to the late Ollie Mae Smith and Theodore Johnson.

Wanda was an avid learner, graduating with honors from Griffin High School and later earning both her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts degree from LaGrange College. She served as an Educator for the Troup County School System.

Peacefully and quietly, she departed this earthly realm and entered into Eternal Rest March 14th, 2024 at Tranquility Hospice in Austell, Georgia.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: her two children: Courtney Pope and James Pope; grandchild: Olivia Pope; siblings: Barbara Graham, Lee Elliott, Rosa Smith, Lester (Mary) Smith, Celestine Dewberry, Mildred Smith, Marilyn (Timothy) Welch, Fiancé Michael Towns, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
