Mrs. Shari Aquanita Barkley-Barron transitioned on December 12th, 2023. Born in Griffin, Georgia to Laura Jean Barkley and James Willis, she leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity and strength.

She graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1984 with a B.S. in Computer Science. She married Thomas Barron after college and together they built a family. While her professional journey involved computers, Shari devoted herself to homemaking. Shari, a passionate soul, found joy in music, reading, education, and various creative pursuits. Her musical talent, nurtured from a young age, led her to play the piano, direct choirs, and embrace genres like Gospel and 70's funk, with Earth, Wind, and Fire and Prince holding special places in her heart.

She leaves behind her cherished Children: Jessica Lynn and Wesley Cole, her Mother: Laura Jean; and a multitude of friends and family whose lives were touched by her kindness. Her memory will forever resonate in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
