Shannon R. Zachery

Shannon Ramond Zachery, affectionately known as “Shannon Black”, was born on October 5th, 1979, to the late Willie Roy Zachery and Willie Mae Williams. He was called from labor to reward on December 5th, 2025. He joined the Shoal Creek Baptist Church at an early age.

“Shannon Black” received his education from the Griffin-Spalding County School System, as well as the Henry County School System. While he was in school, he found great joy in playing football. Always loving football, he was the biggest fan of the Alabama football team, Crimson Roll Tide Roll; along with his Father “Big Red”. Shannon was a hardworking and dedicated provider for his family. Although, holding many positions for different companies, he found great pride in his position as a manager for DHL.

He is proceeded in death by his father: Willie Roy “Buck” Zachery. His grandparents: Deacon Roy and Mother Ruth Zachery and Willie Andrew and Mildred Goodman. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. The memory of jokes and laughter will remain in the hearts of his loved ones forever.

He leaves to cherish his memories; His mother: Willie Mae (Willie Lee) Williams; His sons: Jayden, Shannon Jr. “Kidd” and Kendrick “Sonny”; His two siblings: Shernita (Charles “Rocky”White) Zachery and Shunderick (Debbie) Zachery. His Nieces and Nephews: Shuntasia (Gregory) Zachery- Elliott, Omar (Earielle) Mullins and Deja White; Great-Nieces and Nephews: Paris Newby, Owen Mullins, Devyn Zachery, Zoey Zachery, Olivia Mullins, and Karter Mann; His God- Parents: Willie and Mary Goodman; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
