Franklin Pack, Sr.

Mr. Robert "Bobby" Franklin Pack, Sr. was born on January 16, 1943, in Griffin, Georgia to the late Douglas (Geneva Hall) Pack. He was the second child of 4 sons born to this union. Two brothers preceded him in death, Eugene and Larry Pack. He attended Fairmont High School before serving his country in the United States Army. During his tenure in the military, Bobby began training as a Welterweight boxer and joined the USA Army boxing team. He accomplished many wins in the ring. Reverend Pack's connection with New Hope Baptist Church started at age 4. He rededicated his life to Christ in 1982 and later accepted his calling to serve God and preach the Good News of Christ. He was a co-founder of Redeeming Love Ministries and instrumental to the start of Word of Life Ministry. He was affectionately known as Bobby, Daddy, Pa, Daa, Fly, Rev and Elder Pack. He was a lover of God's word as it was reflected in his words of wisdom, teachings and ministry. He taught the Gospel up until his very last hour on earth Sunday. As he peacefully passed away, he uttered "Believe in Christ so that you'll have life and life more abundantly". The family knew him as a man of many hats. He enjoyed the Arts, wood carving, making jewelry, traveling, spending time with his grandchildren and family. He also had a love for all sports and all music genres. His favorite teams were the Hawks, Braves, and the Falcons. His sense of style was second to none. He enjoyed dressing in many styles from different eras and mastered them all! He was a retiree of Kmart Distribution Center, Newnan Georgia, and Spalding County Park and Recreation, Griffin, Georgia. Elder Pack leaves memories to behold to his loving and devoted wife, Mary Ann Colbert Pack of 48 years. (November 9, 1974) His precious daughters: Sabrina (Grady) Flemister and Dwana (Ronnie) Dennis; Sons of Valor: Robert (Denise) Pack Jr., and Marco (Monica) Colbert; Eleven endearing grandchildren: Chelsie, Chadwick, Jireh, Taylor, Jordan, Briana, Jacoby, Jayden, Jenna, Leia, and Jaxson; Four endearing great grandchildren: Braylon, Caiden, Bryson, Brooklynn; One brother: David (Shirley) Pack; One Sister-in-law, Mary Colbert. Special Nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and many sons and daughters, brothers and sisters in Christ.
