Mother Mattie Lou Adams-Few , 98, of Milner, Georgia was born in Pike County, Georgia on January 14th, 1926, to the late Chester and Martha Adams.

Mother Few was preceded in death by her husband, the late William Henry Few, Sr. They were united in holy matrimony on November 12th, 1943, and celebrated u52 years of extraordinary love and companionship. Together, they raised and nurtured 8 wonderful children.

She received her formal education in the Pike County School System. Mrs. Mattie Lou Few retired from the Lamar County School System where she worked as a nutritionist. In her leisure time, she enjoyed word search puzzles, spending time with her family and being active in church. She was a phenomenal cook who often fed her whole family, friends and community. She showered her love through her fantastic meals.

Mrs. Mattie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a dedicated and faithful servant at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She served in many capacities including the usher board and the Mother's Board.

On Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, Mrs. Mattie Lou Few's name was called. She answered, freeing herself from all sickness and pain. Seven siblings - Lillie Bell, Eula Mae, Chester, Jr., James, AJ, Mary, and Victoria; Two sister's-in-law- Beatrice and Willie Mae; five children - William Thomas, Louis, Mattie Mae, Shirley Ann and James, all preceded her in death.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving children: William, Jr. (Pearlene) Few, Willie Clarence (Paula) Few, and David (Wanda) Few; daughter-in-law: Betty Few and Evelyn Few; son-in-law: Emory Tyler; siblings: John (Ozell) Adams, Marjorie Fallins; Jessie (James) Scott, Carolyn Ison, and sister-in-law, Connie Adams. Also surviving are a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, church family and friends.

In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, even into His ears.
