On December 16th, 1948, in the rural community of Hollonville, Pike County, Georgia, Mr. & Mrs. Charlie and Nettie Mae Reid welcomed the last of 12 blessed children. At an early age she served her youthful years worshipping at Fairfield C.M.E. Church.

Mother Henley graduated from Fairmont High School in Griffin, Georgia. Upon her transition to the workforce, she was employed by United Cotton Goods for many years before moving her career to Dundee Mills, and towards the end of her career, she became a fulltime caregiver.

She moved her membership to Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a devoted member for over 20+ years before her health began to decline.

Preceding Mother Henley in death are her parents: Mr. & Mrs. Charlie and Nettie Reid; the love of her life and husband: Mr. Tommy Joe Henley, whom she was united with for over 20 years; Ms. Amanda Reid and also (7) sisters & (4) brothers who are welcoming her Home!

She is survived by one loving & devoted daughter: Mrs. Shaxda (Gregory) Howard; 3 loving grandsons: Kevarious Hosley, Ke'Vaughn Hosley and Joshua Thompson; 2 bonus daughters: Rankeithia Coggins and Jamiyah Foster; 3 great-grandchildren and a special Yorkie-Poo who loved to get on her nerves, infamously named "Gucci Goo"; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends. We must mention her devoted niece/best friend/partner in crime: Ms. Helen Reid and a precious and special guardian Angel: Ms. Kimmie Wilson (thanks so much!)

To my mother in Heaven, thanks for always loving me and guiding me.

Even though you are no longer here with me, I can still feel your love guiding me.

You are always in my heart.

I love and miss you dearly.

From: Shaxda (Nikki)
