Obituary for Lille Kate "Tuda" Bogan
"A Life Well Lived"
Mrs.Lillie Kate Bogan also known as "Tuda", was born to the late Steven Lewis and Myrtice Baker on October 26, 1934, she was united in holy natrimony to the late Willie James Bogan in 1955.
Lillie was preceded in death by her two brothers Daniel Lewis and Willie (Tap) Lewis.
Lillie joined Corinth Baptist Church at an early age, where she continued to serve faithfully as a devoted nember and usher for many years until her health declined, she was a member of the Tuesday morning Bible study group and served on the Mother Board.
Lillie lived a life of service, she was employed by Crossroads Psychoeducational Center, in Griffin, Georgia as a paraprofessional where she received Staff Member of the Year, awarded to her by the director of special programs in the State Department of Education. It took a special person to work with the students that she worked with, but she did until she retired. She worked with Griffin Spalding Meals on Wheels Program and volunteered at the Food pantry.
Lillie enjoyed fishing and cooking; she was one of the best cooks. Everything she cooked was so good. Lillie was "The Best "auntie, she made us all feel special because she was a good listener, had a big heart, and a warm smile. She was so compassionate and was so loving to us all that knew and loved her. One thing about "Tuda" she appreciated everything anyone did for her, she was always thankful and always gave God the praise for her many blessings.
Lillie leaves to cherish her memories her family, a loving and devoted caregiver, her niece Debra Brown, Griffin GA, Step Daughter Cynthia Weaver, College Park, GA, Phylls Ponder, McDonough, GA, nephews Rev. Kenneth Marshall (Evonne) McDonough, GA. Rev. Gary Allen (Veronica) Barnesville, GA., Lizzie Jordan, Shirley Nunnally, and Brothers in love Charles E. Bogan Sr; Robert L. Bogan Sr,; James O. Bogan (Carol); Eddie B Bogan(Janice) and Randy J. Bogan (Annie) and Sister in love Maria Bogan; Godson Keith Brown, of Griffin GA, and God-daughter Mrs. Shawanda Cole (Chuck) of Griffin GA. Special thanks also go to Deborah Brown (Pooh) Barnesville GA, for spending weekends with her. Ann Starks for taking Lillie on her shopping trips.
