IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mother Blanche
Hutcherson-Robinson
January 5, 1941 – May 25, 2024
On January 5, 1941, God knew he was creating an extraordinary woman. Blanche Hutcherson was born to her late parents Andrew (Pete) and Lillie Mae Hutcherson in Pike County, Georgia.
Blanche was a student in the Pike County High School System and became a member of the Fairfield CME Church at a young age. She actively participated in the church choir for several years and served as a stewardess.
In 1958, she married her soulmate and the love of her life, Roosevelt Robinson, and together they had three children. The couple relocated to Atlanta shortly after tying the knot. Blanche initiated her career as a domestic worker and later transitioned to a 30-year tenure as a medical assistant at Planned Parenthood. She took pleasure in educating teenagers on contraceptives and safety practices.
In 1998, Blanche assisted her daughter in becoming an entrepreneur, establishing a daycare center, earning her the endearing title of "Mama" from the children, with one child fondly calling her "Poo Poo."
Blanche found joy in shopping, cooking, sharing meals, baking pound cakes, tending to her garden, and maintaining a neat home.
Blanche's health began to decline in January 2023 when she was diagnosed with shingles. On Saturday, May 25, 2024, she peacefully passed away in her sleep at her residence.
Blanche was preceded in death by her son, Roosevelt Robinson, Jr.; sisters, Rosetta and Annette Hutcherson, Marietta Mullins, and Lillie Caldwell; and brothers, Andrew, Paul, Tommie, Haskel, and Herman Hutcherson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her husband, Roosevelt Robinson; son, Randy (Rhonda) Robinson; daughter, Deedrea (William) Burson; four sisters - Bernice Burden, Dahlia Caddell, Patricia (Horace) Fuller, Brenda Hutcherson; brothers, James (Cynthia) and Larry Hutcherson; grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Tyler, and Jordan Robinson, Patrick, William Jr., and Kaelon Burson; great-grandchildren, Jaida and Justin Jr. Robinson, and Amirah Branker.
Her memory also lives on with special extended family - Wanda Cooper, Candace Puckett, Jonathan Barnard, Shanna Branker, Kymmeon Young, Antwon Dixon, Jr., Chastity and Kristen Cook, Sandra, Brian, and Taylor Williams, a host of daycare children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
