IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mother Patricia
Ann Price
January 6, 1949 – June 18, 2024
Today we came to celebrate the life of our beloved Patricia Ann Price , a true friend to all. She graced our presence on January 6th, 1949, until June 18th, 2024. She was born to the late Carl Price, Sr. and Dorothy Fitzgerald-Price here in Fayetteville, Georgia. She was thought of as the "Oldest" amongst her siblings, when in fact, she was the third of four.
She was preceded in death by her two oldest brothers: Carl Price, Jr. and Harold Price. She was the loving mother of Dexter Hand, the grandmother of Chad Welch, and the great-grandmother to Joey and Caliyah Welch.
Patricia loved her hometown of Fayetteville and was known in this community by many. She received her education at the Fayette County Training School.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church, where she loved serving God, her Pastor, members and all that walked through the doors.
She served on the Usher's Ministry faithfully and helped to organize our Kitchen Ministry, feeding the people and their souls. She will be well remembered for her beautiful smile and warm words of welcome on each Sunday to the congregation.
Patricia worked recently for the Fayette County Board of Education as a Bus Monitor for children with special needs. She also took over her mother's caregiving and housekeeping business after she passed away, caring for elders in the Fayette Community. Her favorite career venture was definitely working alongside her sister Vickie "Neicey" with their Heavenly Gifted Catering business. It gave her joy to see her sister succeed and just knowing they were leaving a legacy for their nieces and nephews gave her so much joy.
Her greatest love of all was caring for her family and especially her nieces and nephews. She leaves to cherish her loving memories one son: Dexter Hand; one goddaughter: Ellen Cook; one sister: Vickie Denise Price; her grandson: Chad Welch; two great-grandchildren and a host of special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and an abundance of devoted sisters whom she loved dearly.
