Patricia Ann Harps-Willis was born on November 11th, 1948, in Griffin, Georgia, to the late Tommy Lee and Emma Harps. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a beloved member of her community. Her legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Patricia's life was marked by her deep commitment to God and her community. She joined Eighth Street Baptist Church at an early age, where she was ordained as a minister. She later moved her membership to The Carpenters House, where she served as a minister, sharing her love for the gospel with all she encountered. Patricia's passion for preaching and singing was a testament to her unwavering faith, and she brought joy and inspiration to countless lives through her powerful words and songs.
In addition to her ministry, Patricia graduated from Fairmont High in 1966. She was employed by Southern Bell, she was the owner and operator of Fantastic Flowers, and Amen Carriage Company, always giving her best in whatever she did. She was known for her kindness, strong work ethic, and genuine care for others. Patricia had a special love for flowers. Her love for horses was equally profound, and she cherished the time she spent with these majestic animals.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmie Willis, Sr.; her daughter: Matilda B. Willis; her grandson: Anthony Martel Willis; and her sisters: Anita Ethridge and Jeanelle Berry.
Patricia is survived by her children: Roderick (Arlette) Willis, Jimmie (Lakunis) Willis, Jr., and her Stepmother: Jewel Harps; Siblings: Tommy Larry (Mildred) Harps, Linda Stinson; Aunt: Annie Bankston; Sisters-in-law: Queen Cheves, Carolyn Crawford, Deann Warren, Shelia Colbert, Patricia Mathis, Darlene (Larry) Watkins, and Eunice Warren; Grandchildren: Rodesha Willis, Xavier Willis, Ola Willis, Odyssey Willis, Aaliyah Willis, Lakendra (Jarrett) Watts, and Aliyah (Alex) Colón; along with a host of great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends as well. Special friends: Sallie McDowell, Linda Davis, Ann Lucier, and Rhonda White.
