Mr. Marvin Rutherford was born May 23rd, 1964, to the late Andrew Rutherford, Sr. and the late Alma Rutherford. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Sarah Rutherford and Suzanne Rutherford-Harris.

Marvin Rutherford entered a Holy Covenant of marriage to Katie R. Rutherford on October 22nd, 2005, and were blessed with 18 loving years.

Mr. Rutherford served his Country in the U.S. Army after finishing High School and was honorably discharged. Marvin was employed by Dundee/Spring Finishing Plant until closing; he was then employed by Ken's Food where he advanced to the position of Foreman Mechanic of the Third Shift. Marvin built lasting friendships and was admired by his peers.

Marvin accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very young age. Marvin continued to seek and study the Word of God through his wife and First Assembly of God and Eagle Mountain Church. He was able to fulfill his assignments in his walk with Christ to the very end.

He leaves behind to cherish the loving memories his beloved Wife: Katie R. Rutherford and his two Sons: Cornelius N. Watson of Elkton, Maryland and Courtney (Shuntae) Brown of Thomaston, Georgia. His beloved Grandchildren: Cameron Brown, Calen Brown and Gorgeous Brown of Thomaston, Georgia; Trey Brown and India Brown of Griffin, Georgia; Dacali Brown of Locust Grove, Georgia; Isaiah Watson and Joshua Hamm of Griffin, Georgia and Aliyah Watson of Middle Town, Delaware. Two Brothers: Andrew Rutherford, Sr. of Thomaston, Georgia and Berry (Grace) Rutherford of Macon, Georgia. Sister: Amy Rutherford of Atlanta, Georgia. Two beloved Brother-in-laws: Johnny C. Wilkerson, Sr. of Griffin, Georgia and Sammy (Christina) Mack, Sr. of Griffin, Georgia. Sister-in-law: Shelia Brooks of Hixson, Tennessee. Beloved Goddaughter: Meletha Mangham of Griffin, Georgia; Sister Friend: Vivian Reeves of Flovilla, Georgia and Dr. Harriet Croskey of Fort Worth, Texas and Spiritual Mother: Shirly Milner of Griffin, Georgia. Along with a host of beloved Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Other Relatives and Friends.
