Kathryn L. Blanchard

It is with deep sadness that the family of Kathryn Louise Blanchard announces her passing on April 23rd, 2026, at the age of 85.

Kathryn was born in Waukegan, Illinois on February 20th, 1941, to Albert Henry Elfering and Gladys Mable Elfering.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Carl Blanchard, son: Paul Hartwig, and her daughter: Cynthia Hartwig.

Marilyn, Debbie, Judy and Chris are her four surviving sisters of six total.

Kathryn had just retired October 17th, 2025, after many years working in the medical field.

She was outgoing, friendly, loving and active in her church. She loved good food, good wine and traveling with her family. Her courage and kindness were and inspiration to her friends and family.

Celebration of Life Services are to be held at Trinity Catholic Church.

She will be missed!
