John Shelton

Mr. John H. Shelton, Jr., age 54, of Atlanta, Georgia, transitioned Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Spalding Post Acute in Griffin, Georgia.

John was full of life until he succumbed to a brain injury. He loved his family and loved making people laugh. He was always the life of any event.

John is survived by one (1) son, Tajah Shelton (Cocoa Beach, FL), sisters Bernice (Riverdale, GA), Jacqueline and JoAnn (Atlanta, GA), Yvonne and Angela (Hampton, GA), and brother Travis (Mableton, GA). He also has a host of nieces and nephews.

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."
