I have finished with this house of clay, please kindly and gently lay it away.

Let me rest from this life of pain, storms and rain.

Many times I was misunderstood when I had done the best I could.

I am tired now, so let me rest, Don't you know God knows best?

I have another house where the redeemed go.

I do not need this old house of clay, so please tenderly, carefully, lay it away.

Mr. James D. Alexander, Sr. affectionately known as "Greg" was born to Mrs. Gloria Gunn and Mr. James W. Alexander on September 24th, 1961. He completed his journey on earth on October 9th, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Alexander joined the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful member.

He was preceded in death by his Sister: Cheryl Sims; Grandmother: Alma Victor; his Son: James Alexander, Jr.; and his niece: Terri Coleman.

Mr. "Greg" Alexander leaves to cherish his memories his loving Mother: Mrs. Gloria Gunn; his loving Father: Mr. James W. (Nancy) Alexander; his Son: Tamorko D. Roberts; his Daughter: Amithia Roberts; Sister: Lorrie Alexander; Brothers: Jamie (Senetra) Alexander and Brian (LaKeyshia) Alexander; Aunts: Deborah (Clifford) Williams and Evelyn Few; Uncle: Michael Vick; Cousin: Temeika Few; Niece: Cassandra Sims; Nephews: Bryce and Khalil Alexander; Daughter-in-law: Jamecia Alexander: Grandson: Jaiden Adams; along with a host of loving cousins, family members and friends.

Greg will truly be missed!
