Mr. Gerald Lynn Wilson, Sr. of Griffin, Georgia, formally of Kitzmiller, Maryland, transitioned peacefully on December 8th, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on October 15th, 1954, in Keyser, West Virginia, Lynn was the son of Milo Wilson and Thelma (Sherman) Wilson-Harvey. He was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1975, achieving the rank of E4.

Lynn graduated from Southern High School in Oakland, Maryland in 1972 and shortly thereafter married his high school sweetheart, Mary Chip Harvey, with whom he shared a loving and devoted marriage for 52 years. Together, they raised two children: Son, Gerry Wilson, married to Becky, and a daughter, Heather Tichinel, married to Rocky.

He is preceded in death by his siblings: Don Wilson (Mary Louise) and Janet Geer, (Sonny).

In addition to his beloved wife and children, those left to cherish the loving memories are his grandchildren: Tom Wilson, Melanie (Matt) Layton, Rocky Tichinel, Brayden Tichinel and Jerzie Tichinel. Expecting his first Great-Granddaughter: Maggie Layton in March 2025 along with several loving nephews, nieces and special loved one's.

Lynn was a man of great integrity, loyalty and humor. He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed spending time with his loved one's and also enjoyed hunting with friends and family. His strong sense of duty, both as a soldier and a father, left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Lynn's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through his family and friends.
