IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony Martel
"Young Remy" Willis
October 18, 1985 – February 7, 2024
Anthony Martel Willis born on October 18, 1985, to Anthony Mitchell and Matilda Willis, in the city of Griffin, GA. Most of his loved ones called him by his middle name "Martel" or by "Ant". He was a very active child and enjoyed many sports like football and basketball, as well as, helping with his family's horse & carriage company.
Unfortunately, he did lose his mother at age 9 on August 1st, 1995. He went to Missouri with his father for a little while and played football while there. Into his later teens he returned to Griffin. Martel had his first born in October of 2003 at age 17, Miss Anijai Seriah Willis. Soon after, it was in Martel's early 20's he decided to make a move to East Atlanta. If you knew him, then you knew Martel's passion was music. He had been signed to a label which allowed him to start traveling on the road for it as well as making his own Music with Jerrell Mixon.
In the mist of it all he then had his second child Yasere Amari Mosiah Kennedy, his first son. Within those next few years, he had his third and fourth child R'riana Alysia Willis and April Raylynn Davis. Constantly being on the road for music he acquired relationships in other cities that stuck with him, one being Panama City. Panama City is where his three youngest reside Ruby Willis, R'majai Willis and Khi'Yeir R'Monee Willis.
Also, while in Panama City, Martel met his longtime girlfriend Danika Manuel as well as many other close friendships. They lived in Panama for a short while then decided to move back to Atlanta to expand their businesses. A couple years later Martel then had his last-born baby girl, Kiarie Chanel Pough.
His biggest purpose was to make his mother smile on her legacy while creating his own for his children. Martel was very adventurous and had a kind spirit, and he loved to motivate those around him. He was the sweetest person to others as they were to him but didn't tolerate too much when it came to his family. He was such an active and outstanding father, a great friend, a remarkable son and wonderful soul.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather: Jimmie Willis, Sr. and Great-Grandfather: Deacon Tommie Lee Harps.
Martel is survived by his Children and Granddaughter: Le'lanyi Willis; father: Anthony Mitchell; his Grandmothers: Sheila Mitchell and Patricia Willis; Great-Grandmother: Jewel Walker-Harps; his Brothers and Sisters, along with his Uncles: Roderick (Arlette) Willis and Jimmie (Connie) Willis, Jr.; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
