1st Lady Lena Mae Watson-Dickson was born January 16th, 1958, in Barnesville, GA. She is the oldest of 7 children born to Mr. Clinton Watson, Jr. and Mrs. Lena Bell Leeks-Watson. She was a graduate of Griffin High School class of 1976. She gained employment at William Carter Company and remained a dedicated employee until her retirement.

In 1979, she married Rev., Dr. Samuel Dickson of Griffin, GA. In 1985, Pastor Dickson accepted his calling to preach, and she became the 1st Lady of Wolf Creek Countyline Missionary Baptist Church. For 39 years, 1st Lady Lena has been a faithful servant of God. Her many talents were displayed while serving on various committees at Wolf Creek. She was such a shining light and a beautiful woman of God.

1st Lady Lena loved her family! Her smile radiated the most when family and friends were together. She loved hosting family events and planning family vacations. She enjoyed bringing the family together for games, food, and a good time. 1st Lady Lena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (E-Ma), daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Throughout 45 years of marriage, 1st Lady Lena and Rev., Dr. Dickson had 2 daughters, gained 2 sons-in-law, and were blessed with 6 grandchildren.

On July 19th, 2024, 1st Lady Lena Mae Watson-Dickson peacefully transitioned to her Heavenly Home. She is preceded in death by her loving brother, Mr. Harry Watson. She leaves to cherish the memories her loving husband: Rev., Dr. Samuel Dickson; her 2 wonderful daughters: Shalita (Kellen) Cox and Quanedra (Tavares) Jackson; 6 beautiful grandchildren: Tavares, Jr. "TJ", Mariah "RiRi", Lauren, Taylor, Kellen "KJ" and Megan; her loving parents: Mr. Clinton Watson, Jr. and Mrs. Lena Watson; her loving sisters: Denise Watson and Rita (Bobby) Johns; her loving brothers: Kenneth Watson, David Odom, Russell (Felicia) Watson, and Robin Watson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

1st Lady Lena made her way into the hearts of many. She is truly a virtuous woman and will be greatly missed.
